The Junior Training Camp is an elite training opportunity
for serious alpine competitors. The camp is open to incoming J3 to J1 athletes (select
J4’s may attend at coaches’ discretion). White Circus Ski Camp is dedicated to helping
athletes develop the fundamental skills and knowledge needed to make
advancements in the sport of ski racing.
Athletes will be staying in the Mt. Hood Resort condominiums
in Welches, Oregon, just fifteen minutes away from Timberline Ski Area. This
quiet location on the scenic Resort at The Mountain golf course is the preferred
lodging of the US Alpine Development and Disabled Ski Teams. There will be
24-hour adult supervision by the coaching staff .
Athletes will be on snow eight days. Four days of slalom
fundamentals, four days of GS fundamentals, separated by a rest day. In addition
to skiing there will be dry-land activities that include field sports, mountain
biking, hiking and swimming. Athletes can expect positive and encouraging
coaching, small group sizes, daily video analysis, excellent meals, and a DVD
of their runs.
